Focal Point: A “jada billai” which is a kind of hair ornament worn on plaited hair by brides and dancers and re-purposed into a pendant.

Name Inspiration: The necklace has been named after the famous “Rani Velu Nachiyar” of Tamil Nadu who was the queen of the Sivaganga estate in the latter 18th century and who pioneered the first against the British colonial power in India. She was also fondly referred to as “Veeramangai” or brave woman.

Item Description: Featuring a gorgeous Lakshmi nagaur pendant, this necklace is made using Labradorite nugget stones and gold hammered focal beads. The stunning pendant has it’s match in the very understatedly beautiful labradorites, the blue and golden yellow flashes of which have to be seen in real to truly appreciate their beauty. A perfect festive necklace and a must in any jewellery box. It has a simple Sterling silver (92.5% purity) S-hook clasp.

Length: 20 inches approx. (when measured around the neck from nape to tip of the necklace).
